Cleaning Frenzy

What a wonderful weekend! The weather was great, my energy level skyrocketed, and Mitch was hangin with me!

Last week was so busy with something to do almost every night. I usually try to get a headstart on my washing and cleaning long about Thursday, but I didn't get a chance to do that last week. That meant there was lots to do when I got up Saturday morning. Ugh!!

Usually I'm draggin when I've got to get up Saturday morning and do all my cleaning and washing, but this Saturday was different. I had energy out the wazzoo!! I was pumped and ready to go! I'm not sure where that came from, but boy was I glad that I had it!

I CLEANED all morning, and I do mean CLEAN! I pulled out things and cleaned behind them and under them, I washed and wiped things that hadn't been washed or wiped in a while, and I dusted! I actually dusted with a cloth and polish!! I can't tell you when I've done that!  Usually it's one of those Swiffer things.

When I finished the house, I went out and helped Mitch who was washing my Yukon.  I cleaned out the inside of the Yukon while he started washing his truck.  When he was done with the outside of his truck, I went over and did the inside for him.

All that didn't wear me out, so I went over to the carport and started cleaning around the backdoor where Beau had tracked mud and slung it on our white vinyl siding.  I was still wiping and washing.  I don't know where in the world all this drive to clean came from, but it sure helped me get a log done around the house Saturday.

It was truly a beautiful day to be outside and I even slipped on my flip flops.  I was so glad to let my feet and toes breathe! LOL...

After all that cleaning, Mitch and I decided to ride to Roanoke Rapids for some supper.  We grabbed a bite to eat, went in Belk's for a few minutes, then off to Wal-Mart.

BE CAREFUL IF YOU SHOP WAL-MART IN ROANOKE RAPIDS!!!  That store has got me the last 2 times I shopped there.  The last time we were there, we missed getting one of our bags off the carousel after the cashier checked us out.  My mistake.  This time, a manager was working a register because they were shorthanded.  He was talking on a headset while checking us out and he double charged us on some items.  We carefully checked the carousel to make sure we had everything before we left, but we didn't check our receipt until we got home.  Another lesson learned!!  He overcharged us almost $15.

I called the store as soon as we got home and he told me to go to the Ahoskie store for my refund.  We went there Sunday, and they were not too happy about giving us a refund for a mistake made by someone at another store.  Thankfully, they obliged and I didn't have to drive back to RR to get my refund.

So, all in all, I got a lot done and learned a lot too!  Pay attention!!  Hope y'all have a great week!

  1. I stopped at RR Wal-Mart Saturday night on my way home from High Point. When my taco seasoning was being rung up, I noticed they charged me $.04 more per pack than what the sign said, but I was so ready to go home, I didn't argue. It had been a LONG day. It would have been nice to have ran into ya'll in there though. Hate I missed ya'll!
