I remember shortly after I started my blog in December 2009, someone posted an entry to see if everybody was going to continue blogging or start using FB more. At the time, everybody was so into blogging and we all assured each other that we'd prefer blogging over FB. Well, I think FB has finally won out.
I think back sometimes to the Blogger Blast we had last March. It was so fun and amazing meeting people I'd been reading about but never met in real life. I thought that was so neat! But, I guess that was a once in a lifetime thing. If we had a blogger blast this year, there would probably be less than 10 people there since nobody's blogging anymore.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm on FB everyday along with everybody else! I've found distant cousins, high school friends, and lots of others on FB and I enjoy hearing from them; and I also neglected my blog for a while when I was going through some stuff in my life. So even though my life may be somewhat boring to others, I still enjoy blogging and getting comments/thoughts from others.
So, if you're reading my blog but not updating your own, just know that I miss you all! I use to talk about my fellow bloggers all the time and I'd be so excited to see what was on the blogs everyday. But, I also know that life happens and blogging is probably not a top priority in anyone's life. So, to that, I'd just say blog when you can, but as I said before, just know that I miss you when you don't!

I know I am guilty...don't blog nearly as much as I use too now with my little one around...just no time and then I'm all pooped out by the time she goes to bed! I am still here though and try to comment even though I don't blog as much as I use to. I was just thinking on my way to work of some pics that I really wanted to blog about but of course I don't have my camera with me today...hopefully soon!
ReplyDeleteI still love my blog. I had a little issue with folks reading my blog and then trying to start trouble by twisting my words. Now I mainly blog about Mason and what is going on with him for that reason. I went private, but then I had these same trouble starters ask to be invited, so it defeated the purpose. As a matter of fact, my blog isn't even private anymore for the reason. I have had so many things I have wanted to blog about, but you know small towns/communities...folks love to talk and make you look bad. Actually, it has really opened my eyes to my life and how I used to talk about things I had heard. I try really hard to watch what I say about people, because I am tired of the lies about me and my relationships with family and friends. No one really knows how things have changed for me since Mama died. Blogging was my outlet, but not anymore. I rely on Charlie when I feel the need to get things off my mind.
